Wes Eikmeier scored 18 points and second-seeded Colorado State held off Fresno State 67-61 Wednesday in the Mountain West Conference tournament quarterfinals.
Dorian Green had 17 points as each of Colorado State’s starters scored in double figures in a 74-63 victory against Fresno State on Saturday night.
The Mountain West will add a football championship game next season when it expands to the requisite dozen schools, which will be split into two divisions.
Andre Roberson scored 17 points and grabbed 20 rebounds as Colorado beat Fresno State 50-43 on Wednesday night for its first road win.
Washington State has been winning ugly the past two games, while Colorado has been just plain ugly. Both teams open Pac-12 play on Saturday in Pullman, Wash.
