Cops Fighting Cancer
A brave 5th grader was sworn in as an honorary police officer in Aurora on Wednesday. It was a dream come true for the 10-year-old who has battled cancer for more than a year.
For children the holidays usually mean a time surrounded by the love of a family, but for the youngest cancer patients the holidays can be a season spent surrounded by doctors, treatment and fear.
A group of police officers are asking for help in their effort to collect toys for cancer patients at Children’s Hospital.
