There are more than 40 state parks in Colorado with more than 500 miles of trails and 4,000 campsites, and each is a little bit different.
It may not be warm enough to hit the water, but the swim beach at Chatfield State Park opened for the season on Friday.
People who enjoy walking their dogs in Cherry Creek and Chatfield state parks will have to pay a fee to use the open space.
