Federal Law Rules Over Military Resources For Wildfires

Gov. John Hickenlooper gave his annual wildfire briefing with state and federal officials at Centennial Airport Thursday. It was also the time to ask questions about whether the protocol for wildfire resources had changed.

1932 Law Prevents Military From Initially Offering Aircraft To Fight Wildfires

Wildfires destroyed some 600 homes and burned more than 100,000 acres in Colorado during the past two months and several homeowners contacted 4 On Your Side Investigator Rick Sallinger to ask where the military was when the fires broke out.
