Colorado Foxes

Thank you – what an enjoyable slideshow. I’m happy to know others appreciate these remarkable wildlife neighbors of ours.

I love visiting this news-site, simply because it ranks amongst the best, not just in the U.S., but globally, in providing photos submitted by the public of their local wildlife. I’ve just looked at all these photos of the foxes – they’re absolutely superb – well done to each and every photographer. I especially like Ms. Humphery’s photo of her cat and the fox. I always think, cats and foxes share many traits. Your foxes are very similar to our foxes in Britain, except, perhaps, that their fur is longer and thicker – a characteristic of living near to the colder climes of the Rockies I suspect. Interestingly, (or not), I have a very old book of North American mammals with a section on foxes. Looking at these photos I was attempting to gauge the size of the adults to the dimensions given in the book of the Eastern Grey Fox and something called a Kit Fox – something that was difficult, even given the excellent quality of the photos. Anyway, nice work, and thanks to C.B.S. Denver for providing the opportunity to view the work. It’s refreshing to see people so interested in their wildlife – of which the U.S. and Canada is blessed with an abundance in variety. Please keep it coming!
