Kirkland Museum of Fine and Decorative Art
The Kirkland Museum of Fine and Decorative Art is a hidden treasure of Denver. It’s a museum that celebrates art and design in a unique way. CBS4 Critic at Large Greg Moody says moving through the museum is like getting lost in the most amazing attic you’ve ever seen, to the point where “your brain very nearly goes on overload.” Part of the studio is housed where artist Vance Kirkland taught and where did his last work. The collection includes some of his work and some art he loved. It ranges from fine art to decorative art to glasswork to small appliance design. The museum located at 13th and Pearl. It’s open Tuesday through Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tickets are $7 and children under 13 are not allowed because of the layout and the fragile nature of much of the displays.
