Kristin and Candace Hermeler, 29-year-old twins from Australia, attempted a dual suicide at the Family Shooting Center inside Cherry Creek State Park in November. Kristin died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound, Candace survived. A magazine from the 1999 Columbine High School shootings was found in their hotel room. They had expressed empathy for the Columbine shooters who were bullied as the girls said they were bullied themselves.
