Reporter Rahel Solomon is thrilled to be living in Denver and on the air during the CBS4 Morning News and CBS4 News at Noon.

Prior to joining the CBS4 news team, Rahel worked as a multimedia journalist for WSAZ-TV in Charleston, West Virginia. She shot, wrote and edited nearly all of her stories.

Her start in television news came at NBC 10-TV in Philadelphia as a production assistant. She also interned in the Washington Bureau of CNN where she worked in the investigative unit contributing to pieces that aired across CNN and online.

Rahel earned a masters degree from the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University. She also attended St. John’s University where she graduated with high honors and a Bachelor of Science degree in finance.

Rahel is the daughter of Ethiopian parents and grew up in Philadelphia. She enjoys volunteering and is a new mentor with the Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Denver.
