Two Super Bowls. Two Stanley Cup Championships. The creation of a major league baseball team for Colorado. A new stadium or arena for every major Denver sports team. Veteran sportscaster Gary Miller has been in the “front row” for every big story in recent Colorado sports history.
Gary has been covering sports for CBS4 for nearly 25 years.
In addition to reporting on the Denver Broncos and other sports teams for CBS4, in 2013 Gary took on a new role in his career and became the radio play-by-play voice of the Colorado State Rams. You can hear him calling the games for the football and men’s basketball teams.
Miller says his best memories covering sports come from two great moments in Denver sports: the Broncos first Super Bowl victory and the Rockies first baseball game at the old Mile High Stadium.
Miller is a native of Brooklyn, N.Y., and graduate of Long Island University. He began his television career as at KNDU-TV in the Tri-Cities area of Washington state before moving to a sports anchor position at KSBY-TV in San Luis Obispo, Calif. He then served as sports director and anchor at KGET-TV in Bakersfield, Calif., for six years before moving to CBS4.
