Those counties have enacted temporary stage one fire restrictions that include a ban on open fires, fireworks, smoking or other outdoor spark or flame producing activities. Exemptions include those with a permit or charcoal grill fires at private residences.

Denver Mountain Parks in Jefferson, Clear Creek and Douglas counties, including Genesee Park, also have fire restrictions in place. Grills that use propane are still allowed.

Fire restrictions were enacted for Lakewood's Bear Creek Lake Park, Thunder Valley Motocross Park and William Frederick Hayden Park on Green Mountain.
