Broncos Ward Ties NFL Sack Mark With Hit On Rivers

DENVER (CBS4) - Broncos safety T.J. Ward tied a record in Sunday's game against the San Diego Chargers.

With his sack on quarterback Phillip Rivers, Ward now has 8.5 sacks in the last six years, which is the most in the NFL among safeties.

The mark ties Roman Harper of the New Orleans Saints, according to Broncos Vice President of Public Relations Patrick Smyth.

Ward is now the only NFL DB to have at least 1 sack in each of the last 6 seasons.
