DENVER (CBS4) – The trains are always running at Caboose Hobbies in Denver, a place where they’ve got everything the hobbyist could want.
CBS4 Critic at Large Greg Moody found an expansive set of model trains and some fun surprises on the track displays inside the store. Watch his complete report from March 2012 in the video clip below, which took place right before the start of the 2012 Rocky Mountain Toy Train Show:
“They’ve got every locomotive I’ve ever seen, even the old-timey stuff,” Moody said. “There are entire towns you can put together. And there is all kinds of rolling stock in every gauge you could ever imagine.”
You can get into the hobby of model railroading for a little bit of money or a lot. Moody found some G-Scale live steam engines that cost $5,000 apiece.
“It’s always free to look, but I dare you to stop there,” Moody said.
