He left station 6 because he has sex with the other guys and now hangs out at the gay underground bars. There’s some truth and Jane knows this!
Jane is gone but still shows up in Denver with her homosexual husband to pretend they are so great .true story here but we all don’t want to hear it . Glad she’s gone wish he would move back to Texas too. They both suck she’s a fake idiot.

She was not fired I would know more than you seeing she is a friend of family. People’s contracts end and some people move/ decide to go elsewhere for reasons that is none of your business. Really, is it necessary to be so rude. People have a right to their opinions, like it or not! Jane is probably a very nice lady but that has nothing to do with the fact that she was not a good traffic reporter. Because you are her friend, that blinds you on the truth of the matter. Jane could not get the names of the streets correct, even after a year and the monatone voice was not pleasant to listen to. I do wish her luck in whatever she finds, but really TV isn’t it. MY OPINION. And no I do not work at Walmart or McDonalds, but even it I did, what difference would that make on what I felt about Jane. That in itself is a very shallow way to think……

Jane Monreal is very confident in our area she is an idol to many teens she has helped. She is a strong independent woman…many people stutter in the business on several channels and even in theatre at times when excited about many things to say (shes very intelligent she has alot to say). She is beautiful and natural (unlike most reporters doesn’t get enhancement or surgical procedures to look better). It is sad when people troll on her because they wish they had the opportunity she had or maybe they were deeply obsessed with Lynn when she in person would care two craps about you. Funny you dont know Jane in person like I do she is very likeable that even people like you “colon bleepIliveinmymomsbasement ” would like her! stop judging people and go use your time wisely …if you dislike people then why dont you go into the business and see how hard it is to even get a shot at cbs4. then have your own lovely share of people hating on you G’luck although Im sure half of you are stay at home people on SSI or disability or maybe even jobless???? When Lynn first started doing the traffic on Channel 4 I wasn’t too impressed and missed the person before her (whom I can’t even remember now) but I grew to love her and hated to see her go. I wish I could say the same about Jane, but she had no personality, spoke in a monotone and stammered a lot. I too have only stayed with 4 because of Brooke but may have to change-
If you really want to know about Jane Monreal, do a Google search. You will find that she is universally unpopular with her past stations and viewers. Her online resume makes no mention of her being at Channel 2 in Denver before Channel 4. They wisely and promptly dispensed with her services. Now Channel 4 appears to have followed suit. At this point one might think she would realize, that she is NOT meant to be in TV news. Whatever happens, hopefully she has been shipped off far far away. Please!!! Maybe Nacogdoches would be appropriate.

I thought that Lynn was quite a frump. She always seemed to be missing in action, and there was always someone filling in for her.
Jane is awesome, and is a total breathe of fresh air. She’s beautiful, and has a beautiful personality. I think the people making comments about her were probably friends with Lynn C., and I’m sure they are just jealous of Jane. What a way to welcome Jane to Denver, people. What’s wrong with you… I’m embarrassed for Colorado as to how Jane was “welcomed”.

No I am not a friend of Lynn Carey’s, have not met her and do not even know her, but I am one that commented on Jane and her lack of quailty when she tries to do the traffic. She has no personality and stutters all the time. After a year, you would think you would learn and know the streets but hasn’t happened yet. I welcome her to Denver, but definitely do not welcome her to Channel 4. She is NOT an asset to the morning news
Sorry but Jane was the WORST on air personality ever. Between mangling street names, stumbling over places in the metro area and whining about how cold she was all the time, I was amazed she got any traffic info out! I had moved over to 9 news but I came back when she left. The new guy is great. Hope he sticks around!
Jane Monreal is a pathetic excuse for a traffic report. Channel 4…what were you thinking??? Lynn Carey was a breath of fresh air. Down to earth, funny and human. Jane stumbles through, at best. Channel 9 is looking better every morning which is a shame because I like to new weather gal along with Brooke and Alan. Jane is just flat out annoying and not the way I want to start my morning.
Is this the Lynn Caery that was Mama Lion singing rock music? Daughter of late actor MacDonald Carey? If so I knew her years ago in Beverly Hills… Where is she Now?

Lynn Carey should not have been let go. I watch the morning news less now on CBS because it is so boring. Lynn brightened things up and she was the best at describing traffic. Who in their right mind would let her go. Bottom-line thinkers can kill a show.
I am not sure why Lynn Carey’s contract was not renewed but to me, Lynn’s contract should have been renewed instead of putting someone in there that stumbles over her words, doesn’t know a thing about the streets, is monatone and has no personality AT ALL!!!!! I only continue to watch Chanel 4 News because I enjoy watching Brooke and Allen…….other than that Chanel 4 has gone down….
Lynn Carey was the best. We also stopped watching when Jane Monreal became the traffic reporter. She does not know the streets and her breathy, hesitant speech is difficult to listen to. Lynn Carey was fun, had quick, accurate delivery and best of all made us laugh in the early morning. Where DID she go?
That is too bad Lynn Carey no longer works for CBS4 you need to get her back. She is intelligent and knows her geography (streets etc). The person you have now Jane Monreal she doesn’t know her streets and she has no confidence and so drab. Bring Lynn Carey back she was so upbeat and knew her stuff!

Channel 4 has gone downhill so much. The loudmouth Gloria Neal is such a turn off to watch. Now you’ve got the very unlikable Jane Monreal. Her and Karen Leigh make my skin crawl just to hear their voices. Too bad for all of the awful changes. What happened? New management had to bring their own style? I’ll miss the few that I do like but eventually you’ll probably get rid of them too.

On our way home from the Stevie Nicks concert Tuesday night, there was a major accident near Gartrell on E470. The south bound was closed and there was a care in the medium. Looked like ten ambulances, firetrucks and a multitude of police cars. Not a word was mentioned on the news….Does CBS news 4 have any idea what happened????
Incredibly hard to believe Channel 4 replaced Lynn Carey, the most competent traffic reporter in Denver, with that horrid woman, who had been thankfully let loose from Channel 2. What a travesty to have to see and listen to her again. Jane Monreal? Nothing like 3 steps backward. Keep up the good work Ch 4. Who’s next?

I agree with everyone here. I miss seeing Lynn Carey on the traffic beat, and as a longtime viewer, I wish her all the very best. BTW: I also miss Tom Mustin on the morning desk with Brooke. They were the anchors of a likable, talented and trusted morning team that CBS has slowly dismantled! Please Please bring Tom back to the desk, CBS!
Lynn is a good friend and will be missed on TV. She was one of the first pioneers for radio traffic reporters making their way onto TV. She was professional, very knowledgeable and loved what she did. I will miss seeing her at the traffic reporter meetings at CDOT and at other events during the year.
Lynn is going to say away from TV as far as I know and will enjoy her time off before doing something else. She and her husband are living into the mountains now and enjoying it very much.
That’s too bad because I liked her so much better than Darrin! Lynn always had it together and had a great sense of humor! Sorry to hear that Lynn is no longer with CBS4.
Lynn Carey no longer works at CBS4. Her contract was not renewed and her last day on TV was in March. She has moved to the mountains. Thanks for your interest.
