2 Killed In Fully-Engulfed Cabin Fire

RIO BLANCO COUNTY, Colo. (CBS4) - The Rio Blanco County Sheriff's Office says a fire killed two people and destroyed a cabin Saturday night. First responders had to access the cabin on County Road 14 by snowmobile.

Officials say the two people inside were unable to escape. Two others were able to get out and call for help.

Monday, the sheriff's office identified 63-year-old Victoria Temples as one of the victims. A 15-year-old male was the other fatality. No other details about the victims or survivors was provided.

The sheriff's office did confirm the structure collapsed shortly after dispatch received the first 9-1-1 call.

Investigators are using heavy equipment to remove portions of the building before the bodies can be recovered and investigators are allowed to examine the debris.

It is not clear what caused the fire. But RBCSO Dispatcher Rhawnie McGruder did tell CBS4 the fire is not considered suspicious.

"There is no sign of foul play" at this time, McGruder said.
