University Of Northern Colorado Falls Victim To Software Scam
GREELEY, Colo. (CBS4) - The University of Northern Colorado is out $85,000 after falling victim to a scam.
The school paid a software developer that didn't exist.
The Greeley Tribune reports UNC hired Bossage Inc. to work on apps for online teaching.
It wasn't until almost a year later that the school realized the company wasn't real.
UNC says it has since improved its policies to prevent something like this from happening again.
