Unattended Campfire Gets Out Of Control, Destroys Home

MESA COUNTY, Colo. (CBS4) - Sixty people had to evacuate as flames from an unattended campfire got out of control Saturday.

The fire spread to some dry brush, then to a cabin near the town of Collbran.

It destroyed the home, along with another structure and a power pole, but luckily no one was hurt.

Firefighters got the blaze under control.

They warn campers to make sure their fires are completely out before leaving the area.
