Fugitive Arrested After Cutting Off Ankle Monitor

COMMERCE CITY, Colo. (CBS4)- A fugitive who cut off his ankle monitor was arrested after four days on the run.

Robert Chavez was arrested late Friday night by police and authorities with the Department of Corrections.

Investigators say Chavez was last seen in the Pioneer Park area in Commerce City.

Chavez, 38, is a sexually violent predator who has a history of sexual assault on a child and possessing a weapon.
