LARIMER COUNTY, Colo. (CBS4)– Mosquitoes infected with West Nile Virus have been found in Larimer County.
They were trapped in Berthoud last week. They are the first infected mosquitoes found in Colorado this year.
There have been no human cases reported in Colorado so far this year. This is the time of year when West Nile cases typically increase.
The Colorado Department of Health and Environment is urging people to use insect repellent to keep mosquitoes away.
