Coroner Releases Name Of 48-Year-Old Who Died In Shootout With Police

LOVELAND, Colo. (CBS4) – A man who died after a shooting with police in Loveland has been identified.

The incident took place Thursday night near Namaqua Park, which is west of Interstate 25.

Police were investigating a car crash when a driver jumped out of a car and started firing at officers.

The officers fired back and after being hit police say that driver, Stephen Rich, 48, was taken to the hospital and died.

No one else was hurt.
