Tourism Committee Approves Rooftop Terrace
DENVER (CBS4)- There could be a rooftop terrace coming to the Colorado Convention Center. The City of Denver wants to revamp the rooftop to create meeting spaces and an outdoor terrace.
Voters approved the $105 million for the project in 2015. The city is proposing a tax on hotels to pay for the rest of it.
A Denver City Council committee authorized the new tourism district on Wednesday night.
The city says the expansion is necessary to keep the convention center competitive.
