EVERGREEN, Colo. (CBS4) – Dozens of people piled into a county commissioner’s meeting Tuesday morning and pleaded for a popular dog park to be reopened.

The Elk Meadow Dog Park was closed last month because of an excessive amount of dog waste being left behind.
All 107 acres are currently closed. A county official says they could be looking at other areas to open for the community.

There’s no timetable on if a decision will be made on the park’s future.
