DENVER (CBS4)– Police in Denver investigated some suspicious items left near the Colorado Convention Center on Friday morning.
Mall security officers found about a half-dozen bottles filled with liquids that smelled suspicious at 9:20 a.m.
Officers emptied those bottles into paint cans for investigation. It is unclear what the liquid was but police believe the bottles had the potential to be some sort of incendiary device.
The liquid is being tested.
The area near the sidewalk was closed to pedestrians during the cleanup. No streets were closed and no one was evacuated.
