DENVER (CBS4) – Police investigated a hit-and-run crash involving a pedestrian on Monday morning and located the suspect driver a short time later.
Police rushed to Tejon and Evans Avenue in Denver about 10:30 a.m. Monday.
Westbound lanes of Evans were closed at Tejon. Officers are looking for a black crossover SUV last seen traveling westbound on Evans. The driver ended up flagging down a police officer, admitting they were involved in the accident.
Police say when the pedestrian was hit, legally crossing the street, he flew on top of the hood to the suspect’s. The victim then fell to the ground. He was taken to the hospital, possibly with a hip fracture. Doctors are still working to determine if this accident caused serious bodily injuries.
Police say the Diamond Shamrock and a nearby pot shop have surveillance video of the incident.
