Firefighters Set Fire On Purpose

LAKEWOOD, Colo. (CBS4)– Firefighter recruits with West Metro Fire Rescue set a fire on purpose in hopes of learning how better to put out fires.

The firefighters set fire to three structures in Lakewood on Thursday. It’s part of their training to learn how fire spreads in certain situations.

It took just minutes for the flames to fully engulf the structures.

Each one was built using different construction techniques commonly found in homes in Colorado.
