Colder than Normal Temperatures Through Friday for Denver and the East

By Ed Greene

DENVER (CBS4) - A cold front plowed into the state overnight and the cold air behind it dropped temperatures in Denver all day long. This morning we were around 30 degrees, but by the 5pm news we had dropped to the low to mid 20s which also happened to be the lows for the day - at that time. We thought we wouldn't see much for the metro area in terms of precipitation and that held true with only flurries and a little freezing drizzle and no accumulation.

For Wednesday, we'll stay cool and cloudy with a high only in the lower 30s; partly cloudy, but little change in temperatures for Thursday.

Friday will see partly cloudy skies and only slightly warmer - pushing into the mid to upper 30s. But just in time for the weekend, warmer temperatures under sunny to partly sunny skies - highs in the low 40s Saturday and nearing 50 by Sunday.
