Calm Weekend Before Arctic Blast
DENVER (CBS4) - Our first weekend of December will be getting just a little warmer with west-northwest down slope flow. This should keep things mostly sunny for Sunday over eastern Colorado.
We are still keeping on eye on what will be a huge cold wave coming in straight out of the Arctic for Monday night into Tuesday.
The Arctic cold front will send Denver highs tumbling into the upper teens and low 20s for Tuesday through Thursday. There will also be a good chance for snow developing with this big change. There is still a lot of time before the storm arrives. Snow amounts may vary but, there will be some accumulation across the state with the heaviest amounts expected Tuesday night into Wednesday morning.
The last time the Front Range has been that cold was back in February earlier this year! Denver highs should get back above freezing by Friday with mostly sunny skies.
