Shoe Boxes Filled With Gifts On Way To Children In Need
DENVER (CBS4) – A total of 45,000 shoe boxes filled with gifts are on the way to children in need in Mexico.
Hundreds of volunteers packed the boxes with toys, school supplies and hygiene items at the processing center of Operation Christmas Child in Denver on Monday.
Eleven years ago Yves Dushime received one of the boxes after he and his family escaped the genocide in Rwanda.

He says the box gave him hope when he needed it most.
"The very same shoe box that I got allowed me to understand what it meant to be loved by God. Not only that, but that I had a family of believers across the world who loved me enough to send me something that I desperately needed," Dushime said.
