Officer Found Justified In Shooting That Injured Teen Suspect

DENVER (CBS4) - A police officer who shot and injured a teenager will not be charged, according to the district attorney's office.

Denver Officer Jeffrey Heinis shot the 17-year-old boy near 10 Avenue and Federal Boulevard in August.

Police say the teenager had a gun.

The boy and two other teens were accused of being in a stolen car.

The district attorney investigated the shooting and says it was legally justified.
