Hearing Pushed Back For Man Accused Of Shooting Wife, Killing Doctor
CENTENNIAL, Colo. (CBS4) - There's been another delay in court for a man to enter a plea on charges he shot and killed a popular doctor in Centennial.
Prosecutors in Arapahoe County have said they may seek the death penalty against Kevin Lyons.
Lyons is accused of shooting and killing Dr. Ken Atkinson in April when Atkinson and another neighbor responded to screams from his wife.
Lyons is also charged with shooting that other neighbor and his wife.
Next month Lyons' defense is expected to let court know if they will enter a not guilty by reason of insanity plea.
Lyons has been found competent to stand trial.
