Men Who Started Cold Springs Fire Sentenced
BOULDER, Colo. (CBS4) - Two men who pleaded guilty to starting the Cold Springs Fire near Nederland in Boulder County were sentenced on Friday.
Jimmy Andrew Suggs, 28, and Zackary Ryan Kuykendall, 26, were sentenced on Friday to two years work release and four years probation.
The men had set up an illegal campsite with Elizabeth Burdeshaw, 21, near Nederland when the fire happened. Burdeshaw pleaded guilty to misdemeanor trespassing.
Investigators say they did not do enough to put out their campfire that became the Cold Springs Fire.
The flames spread to more than 500 acres and destroyed eight homes.
