Reports Of Student With Gun Prompt Lock Down, Search

NIWOT, Colo. (CBS4)- The lock down at Niwot High School was lifted after authorities investigated reports of a student with a gun on Tuesday morning.

The Boulder County Sheriff's Office tweeted an update on the situation and said that deputies were acting with an abundance of caution.

A search of the school was underway at 10 a.m. Tuesday. The lock down was lifted about 40 minutes later.

All students remained in class. There were no reports of injuries.
