Broncos TE Green Grabs Single-Season Highs

OAKLAND, Calif. (CBS4) - Broncos tight end Virgil Green is normally known for his blocking skills, but that's changing this season.

Despite injuries keeping him out of several games, he has reached single-season highs in both receptions and yards.

Green needed 23 yards going into the team's game against the Oakland Raiders.

He got that with a 24-yard reception on a pass from quarterback Trevor Siemian.

Against the San Diego Chargers, Green caught his 18th ball of the season, giving him another personal best.

Prior to the 2016 season, the most receptions Green recorded was 15, which came last year with the Broncos.

Green finished the game with two catches for 37 yards.
