Suspect Wanted In Multiple Package Thefts

By Stan Bush

DENVER (CBS4)- Detectives hope someone recognizes the package theft suspect wanted in multiple cases across the Denver metro area.

The suspect was captured on surveillance video walking onto the porch of a home located in the 2500 block of South Xavier Street near Harvey Park on Oct. 25.

The suspect can be seen getting out of a white car. He is described as light-skinned with close-cropped dark hair. He is also wearing two jackets -- a black overcoat and an orange jacket underneath.

The white vehicle in the picture drove away immediately after the suspect was out of the camera's view. The suspect has been identified in other package thefts across the Denver metro area.

"You don't know until you're making that call and then you don't know what to expect from the company you ordered it from," says Luis Aguirre.

Neighbors in the area say at least four homes have had packages stolen in the last few weeks. Some are now taking it upon themselves to watch out for the suspect if he returns.

"I definitely will make sure they know they can call me to grab their package," says Kristin Sandersen.

Anyone with information regarding these crimes or recognizes the suspect in the picture is asked to contact Crime Stoppers at 720-913-STOP (7867). You can text to CRIMES (274637) then title DMCS and enter your message or send an e-mail to metro-denvercrimestoppers.com. If the information you provide leads to the arrest and charging of a wanted individual, you can receive a cash reward up to $2,000.
