Broncos Defensive Coordinator Wade Phillips Released From Hospital

DENVER (CBS4) - The Broncos announced that defensive coordinator Wade Phillips has been released from the hospital.

The team's vice president of public relations, Patrick Smyth, tweeted the update following Sunday's win over the San Diego Chargers.

According to Smyth, Phillips is "expected back at work tomorrow."

Phillips was hit on the sideline during an interception return for a touchdown in the second quarter.

The team posted on their website that 69-year-old Phillips "fell backward and hit his head on impact."

Medical personnel immediately responded, loading him on to a cart and taking him off the field and to the hospital.
