'Before The Flood' Starring Leonardo DiCaprio Great Watch For Any View On Climate Change

By Chris Spears

DENVER (CBS4) - A new documentary on climate change makes its world debut Sunday, Oct. 30 on the National Geographic Channel. I recently had a chance to screen it at Denver's Metropolitan State University.

While I admit that I wasn't sure what to expect, I found the film to be very compelling and full of visuals that are rarely seen in mainstream media.

'Before The Flood' profiles Academy Award-winning actor and U.N. Messenger of Peace Leonardo DiCaprio as he travels the world on a quest to learn more about climate change.

DiCaprio interviews a variety of people on multiple continents who are all dealing with issues connected to a changing climate.

Global climate change is not an easy conversation to have and can spark a lot of passion from both sides. In fact most people are turned off by the topic and DiCaprio even admits this.

But regardless of where you stand on the matter I think this film is a must see. It offers some powerful visuals and personal stories that are honestly hard to deny.
