'Drone4' Shows Cattle Still Roaming After Semi Crash

By Matt Kroschel

GEORGETOWN, Colo. (CBS4) - Like a scene from an old Western movie, cowboys and volunteers roamed Georgetown for a second day, rounding up cattle involved in a big rig rollover crash.

Dan Lincoln is a volunteer wrangler who responded with the Jefferson County Horse Evacuation Assistance Team.

"Right now about a dozen of the cattle remain unaccounted for," Lincoln told CBS4.

The Colorado Department of Transportation has signs warning drivers to be cautious after one of the cows was struck and killed by a RV on the interstate overnight.

Volunteers were able to corral several of the yearling cattle but 12 of the original 80 cattle on board the big rig when it flipped Tuesday morning remain unaccounted for.

"They scattered all over up in there," Lincoln added.

CBS4 lunched Drone4 to give a bird's eye view of the wrangling operations, making sure to steer clear of the upset cattle and keep them calm.

"I don't know, they might be there all winter," he said.
