Miller's Sack Streak Ends At 7

DENVER (CBS4) - Broncos linebacker Von Miller's sack streak ended Monday night.

Miller's streak was at 7 games, but he missed out on an opportunity to extend it with a hit on his former teammate, Houston Texans quarterback Brock Osweiler.

It's a career-long streak for Miller, though, who previously had two streaks of 6 games with a sack, and the third-longest in franchise history.

Miller tied Broncos great Lyle Alzado (1984-85) for the third-longest sack streak in team history with his hit on San Diego Chargers quarterback Phillip Rivers.

Former Broncos linebacker Simon Fletcher, who was inducted into the team's Ring of Fame Monday night, owns the NFL record with 10 straight games with a sack, and is currently the only Broncos player with five seasons with 10 or more sacks.

Miller needs just 2.5 more sacks this season to reach that mark.

For his career, Fletcher racked up 97.5 sacks, which puts him 33 on the NFL's all-time list.

Currently Miller has 67.5 sacks on his career.

Bruce Smith (200) is the NFL's all-time sacks leader.
