Soothing Seventies Lock In With More Dryness

By Dave Aguilera

DENVER (CBS4) - Wow! Saturday wound up more like August than October! Denver's high was 2 degrees away from the record high of 84. Colorado Springs had a record high of 83. The old record was 80! And not to be outdone, Pueblo scored a record high of 88 degrees with the old record being 85.

A dry cold front has pushed into eastern Colorado.  This should cool temperatures down about 5 to 10 degrees across the eastern plains. But, even with that temperatures will stay way above normal for this time of year. The entire state should see clear to partly cloudy skies with no rain to be had for the remainder of the weekend.

In the week ahead temperatures will remain above normal with a chance for rain and mountain snow in western Colorado Monday night into Tuesday. But, our eastern plains including Denver should continue the dry pattern through the week ahead.
