CALHAN, Colo. (CBS4) – A zoo in El Paso County is closing and a wildlife refuge in Arkansas is now stepping in to take care of the animals.
The Serenity Springs Wildlife Center is located in the town Calhan. The owner is sick and can no longer take care of the animals.
The Turpentine Creek Wildlife Refuge has purchased the center and plans to keep about 32 cats. It will find new homes for all the other animals.
