Iginla Optimistic About Avalanche's New Style Of Play

DENVER (CBS4) - The Colorado Avalanche were 6-0 in the preseason, and while the record doesn't matter, the way they are playing does.

The team is clearly enjoying the new style of play under new head coach Jared Bednar, and now they're hoping that carries over once the regular starts on Saturday.

Veteran Jarome Iginla expressed optimism after practice on Tuesday about the way things are going.

"We can see the benefits. Even though it's preseason it's not so much just about wins and losses, it's about trying to put good periods together," Iginla said.

"I think it's more about the process as opposed to 'Man, we were 6-0,' we just try to get better. But it's just nice to get some feedback ... that some of these new things we are doing are paying off."
