DENVER (CBS4)– Police in Denver have arrested a man accused of shooting two teenagers who were allegedly trying to steal marijuana plants from his backyard.

Keylin Mosley, 15, was killed and a 14-year-old was wounded and possibly paralyzed in the early Sunday morning shooting at a home on High Street near 29th Avenue.

Police say Keith David Hammock allegedly shot the teens with a rifle from the second story of the home about 2 a.m. Sunday after the boys climbed over the backyard fence.

Hammock, 48, remained in custody on investigation of murder, attempted murder and investigation of felony marijuana cultivation.

    i guess if you are being robbed you have to let them take your stuff … They should not be able to rob ….

    Defending yourself and your property is not murder. The parents of the thieves should have to compensate the property owner for his trouble.
