It was the most recent “first” for me. Meeting with a nutritionist was something I had never done in this new experience of preparing for a race. It was interesting listening to her educate us about various types of foods and meal portions. Amanda Turner looks at food as a fuel for the body. A method I’ve often read about, but never tried to practice.
RUN WITH CBS4: Track the Team
It was fun to be with my colleagues at this meeting, because there was a sense of camaraderie. I enjoyed making the snack together. The healthy snacks were absolutely delicious! This meeting was a nice distraction for me, because I’ve been bothered by an injury.
I am hoping to eat a little healthier the few days leading up to race and follow her guidelines, so come race day I will be feeling ok.
