The Soothing Seventies Holding On

By Dave Aguilera

DENVER (CBS4) - Lots of action on the weather map heading into Monday. We have a small low pressure system tracking across southern stretches of the state producing a few showers and thunderstorms over the southwest and southeastern corners of Colorado. This system will be moving out on Monday as high pressure slides back in from the southwest. This will deliver a warmer day for Denver and the eastern plains to start the week.

We have a chance for a few showers and storms in Denver coming up late in the day on Tuesday with the arrival of cooler air. By mid-week temperatures will be cooling down into the the upper 50s to near 60 for the Mile High City. The chill doesn't last long though. We bounce right back to near 70 by Thursday.
