By Andrea Flores

AURORA, Colo. (CBS4)- A man shot outside a home in Aurora last week has died. Police continue to search for the gunman.

Vania Freyre can't explain why her husband Miguel Freyre was mysteriously killed far from his Lakewood home last Wednesday.

Freyre, 22, was shot Sept. 28 in the head near 22nd and North Iola, just east of Havana. He died three days later.

He leaves behind a 2-year-old daughter.

"She asks me all the time, 'Where's my daddy?'" Freyre said. "I don't know how to tell her that her daddy's not coming."

Neighbors in the area, who did not want to be identified, say they saw Freyre sitting in a parked car when another car pulled up alongside him.

Witnesses say two men got out, pulled Freyre from his car into the street, shot him, and ran.

"He was a nice person, he never had any kind of problems like that," said his wife.

Police hope someone has information about the shooter.

Now, the family hopes a $2,000 Crime Stoppers reward will help police track down the killer.

"You already took him away from us, you already destroyed our lives," said Miguel's mother, Dalila Medrano. "Come forward and say what you did to him."
