Investigators Recommend Charges In Facebook Threat

GREELEY, Colo. (CBS4)- Investigators have recommended criminal charges against a student who allegedly posted a threat to Facebook.

The threat warned of Halloween shootings at Northridge High School and Franklin Middle School in Greeley.

Police believe a 15-year-old student posted the threat which quickly gained attention when it was seemingly connected to someone wearing a clown costume during the alleged attack.

An 11-year-old student at Franklin Middle School has been accused of bringing a BB gun to school. He apparently told classmates he would be wearing clown gloves when he used the gun. It's unclear the connection between that threat and the one posted on Facebook.

The middle school student has not been identified. He was taken into police custody on Wednesday.
