Support Grows For Lone Survivor In Deadly Crash

LARIMER COUNTY, Colo. (CBS4) – Support continues to grow for the lone survivor of a deadly crash. Aurelia Sommervold is 2½ years old. She survived the crash but both of her parents died.

Jared Sommervold worked at Longmont High School. His wife Genevieve worked at Fort Collins High School. Neither was wearing a seat belt when they crashed near Highway 34 on Sept. 16.

Investigators say Aurelia was riding in the backseat and was properly strapped in and survived the crash.

A GoFundMe page has been set up to help with Aurelia’s education. So far it has raised $24,000.
