Coloradans Have Vastly Different Reactions After Debate Watch Party

By Stan Bush

DENVER (CBS4) - Recent polls list Colorado as a toss-up in the presidential election, but reaction from watch parties seems to show voters firmly entrenched in which candidate they'll support.

CBS4 covered KOA NewsRadio's debate watch party attended by a mixed of Clinton and Trump supporters and two undecideds (although one undecided voter said he already had two Trump campaign signs in his yard).

The groups said Clinton won Monday night's presidential debate, though most of the voters believed Trump looked "presidential." None of the attendees said they were swayed in the opposite direction as a result of the debate.

Linda Wright, a Trump supporter, said Clinton appeared "condescending" and "smug" during her responses to Trump's attacks.

Anthony Hopkins, a Clinton supporter, accused Trump of being "a racist."

Their reactions were largely echoed on Twitter. More than 100 million viewers were expected to watch the debate.

KOA made on-air volunteer requests for their panel of voters for the first presidential debate.
