CINCINNATI (CBS4) – Broncos running back C.J. Anderson is now the team’s 14th all-time leading rusher.
Anderson ran for 36 yards in Sunday’s win over the Cincinnati Bengals, giving him 1,809 yards in his career.
Anderson passes Dave Preston, who ran for six season for the Broncos after being drafted 333rd overall in the 1977 NFL Draft by the New England Patriots.
Preston spent his entire six-year career in Denver, starting 35 of his 76 games, and rushing for 1,793 yards and 10 touchdowns.
Anderson signed with the Broncos as an undrafted free agent out of Cal, spending his whole career in Denver, including being a key player in last season’s Super Bowl 50 win over the Carolina Panthers.
