TELLURIDE, Colo. (CBS4) – The first full day of fall is bringing snowfall to parts of western Colorado.
There’s a good dusting on the Grand Mesa in Mesa County east of Grand Junction and it’s been snowing off and on this morning in the Durango-Silverton area as well as Telluride.
In La Plata County the first chain laws of the season went into effect for a few hours. The Durango Herald reported that they were in effect for commercial vehicles traveling between Silverton and Durango.

In a Facebook post, staff said they are excited for the ski season.
A webcam at the resort on Friday morning showed a dusting of snow in the base area.
