Broncos Tight End Virgil Green Ruled Out Vs. Cincinnati

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. (CBS4) – Broncos tight end Virgil Green has been ruled out of Sunday’s game in Cincinnati due to a calf injury.

Green, the starting tight end, did not practice on Wednesday, Thursday or Friday.

Jeff Heuerman and John Phillips are the only other tight ends on the team’s active roster.

Not surprisingly, offensive lineman Donald Stephenson and linebacker DeMarcus Ware were also ruled out.

Bennie Fowler, Corey Nelson, Justin Simmons and Dekoda Watson were all listed as questionable on the team’s injury report.

The Broncos travel to Cincinnati for their first road game of the season Sunday against the Bengals. You can see the game at 11 a.m. on CBS4.
